February 4, 2017 - My name is Chuck Linder and I wish to begin by thanking all who have welcomed me into my new position as Manager of Regency Tower. Please feel free to stop in the office and say “hello” or approach me when you see me around the building.

Our new Staff Accountant, Teresa, is currently busy bringing our books up to date preparing for our annual year-end audit. If you have a chance, introduce yourself to her.

As you have probably noticed, the redecorating project is nearing completion. We will have a beautiful new look when it is finished. Photos are updated regularly on Facebook. The new security desk is in place and soon will be fully functional. Our Security Chief, Eddie Rogers, plans on creating a computer program to help expedite logging in guests. We are also working to reactivate the buzzer to the cart corral that was disconnected in the garage when the original desk was demolished.

We currently have a problem with certain hazardous materials being placed in storage units. On one floor a chemical in a storage unit is giving off fumes that is causing a health complaint that was reported to this office. In the Rules and Regulations, XIII, it is stated: ‘No flammable materials such as paint, thinners, cleaning fluids, boxes, baskets, rags or paper may be stored in the storage room compartments or in the air conditioning closets. Air conditioning closets are not to be used as storage space. No Cash In emergencies, Maintenance personnel must be able to access the equipment without moving storage items. Notices to remove prohibited materials will be issued to violators. If not removed within the notice’s specified time, the Association will do so and bill the owner or lessee for the expense.’ THIS REGULATION IS REQUIRED BY THE FIRE MARSHALL. PLEASE remove all prohibited items from your storage units. It is for the health and safety of all concerned. It is also a requirement that each apartment has an up to date fire extinguisher (XV).

Our Annual Meeting will be held on March 20, 2017 at 6:30P.M. in the Rendezvous Room.

No CashSome of our owners have paid bills with cash. Effective February 1, 2017, bills are to be paid by check or money order; we will no longer accept cash payments.

Thank You Employee Holiday Fund committee members Ofelia Allequez and Cathie Lenz posted notices on bulletin boards thanking owners and lessees for having contributed $15,560.00 that was distributed to our 16 employees. Only sixty-one percent (61%) of owners and lessees were responsible for the amount collected. The committee hopes to achieve a higher rate of participation in the 2017 fund.
